Created at Sandbox Inc, in collaboration with Toronto Metropolitan University, Dive is an online platform for interactive case studies, which allows viewers to navigate through episodes into deeper dive information tidbits. Here, we highlighted the case study of student aid reform in Ontario, Canada, from initial idea to policy implementation.
The format involved talking head interviews interspersed with charming animations to bring the interviewees' stories to life, as well as informational graphics in the dives, to make somewhat dense policy details easier to digest.
I oversaw the animation of the series, helping keep the design and movement consistent throughout, and put my own hand to a substantial part of the animation. Below is a small selection of my favourite shots, but I recommend checking out the full series.
